How to shut down with keystrokes only

With Window XP I could shut down the computer (or restart) using just the keyboard.  (Ctrl-Esc U).  With Windows 7 I have to use the mouse.  Is there anyway to shutdown and/or restart using just the keyboard?

    Not elegant but:

    Win, →, Enter   =  Shutdown

    Win, →, →, R    =  Restart

    Win, →, →, S    =  Sleep

    Win, →, →, W   =  Switch Users

    Win+L               =   Locks computer

    Also:

ALT + F4  brings up a shutdown menu when no windows are open.

    Press enter for shutdown

So is there no way I could customize Win 7 to have same keyboard shortcuts as in Win XP

Like "Windows + U + U"  for shutdown? or make the cursor not position itself in the by default "Search program and files" but in main start menu items?

    :)

Thanks.  I don't know how Microsoft could decide to do this kind of stuff to their programs.  Microsoft Office and Windows 7 are much more obscure and slow to use than their predecessors (the "newest and worst").

    thanks again. that helps.

Or if your keyboard supports it allocate Shutdown to a customisable key on your keyboard.
