Windows update configured to never install drivers. Driver updates aren't automatically installed when detected by Windows update.
I am using a MSI netbook (1 GB, 32 bitoperating system) with Windows 7 home Premium service pac 1.
I need to load drivers for GPS navagation

Go to the website of your GPS' manufacturer and see if they are available to download there.
You can let Windows update drivers automatically by clicking on:
Start->Control Panel->System->Advanced system settings->Hardware tab*
then Device Installation button. However, there is no guarantee Windows will get the driver you need.
