It worked for XP because D-Link supplied drivers specifically for Windows 2000 and XP.

D-Link have NOT released drivers for the DBT-122 since July of 2006, which means that there is NO support for Vista and Windows 7.

Look for something that is Windows 7 friendly. Take a look here..

    Hi, I forgot to include.........

On my previous computer Windows XP , my “ DBT-122 Wireless USB Bluetooth Adapter “was used to upload pictures from my LG280 phone.....All I had to do was plug it in, and it was all set to go. Do you suppose my LG280 phone has a drawback as well ? which adds to the problem in Windows 7 ?

I will look into your link above.

    Thanks

    Ed

Yes, but to no avail.........and I also got this...........

D-Link does not have drivers for the Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems. These Windows operating systems should be able to use its own internal Bluetooth support for the DBT-122. When you connect the adapter to the PC, it should prompt to auto detect the drivers. Allow the system to proceed, and it should find a suitable driver within the current operating system. If it does not find the driver, the system will prompt to look online to locate a compatible driver.

    Thank you,

    Ed

    HI,

Have you visited the D-Link site? I would visit the support site for D-Link and download all the latest drivers for that device on your new new OS.

Hope this helps. Please reply with results.
