    Hi, anonymous user
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
Yes, it's the known issue of windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2: Errors or issues during or after updating devices with Conexant ISST audio drivers.
Microsoft and Synaptics are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release. And it's recommended not to attempt to manually update using the Update now button or the Media Creation Tool until this issue has been resolved.

And if you want to update drivers with SCCM, you may try below guidance:

IME, if you remove the drivers (and their files) before the upgrade, the compatibility check is skipped and thus the update succeeds and then you can add back the latest drivers after the upgrade as the issue isn't with the drivers themselves to my knowledge, it's with how the drivers are installed and get upgraded.

You should be able to use and automate pnputil.exe to accomplish this task if desired and feasible for your org.

YMMV of course so test, test, test if you go down this path.

    Hi,
Thank you a lot for your reply !

I have an other question please : in the Microsoft document which explains this Issue (link below) they mentioned that it concerns version 7.231.3.0 or lower which is not the case for my devices (version Uper to 9.0.136.1) can we say that it is the same problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Download latest Conexant driver packages from Dell/HP/Lenovo and use setup.exe or setup.cmd, whatever is shipped, with silent switches before OS upgrade phase.
