hi, i'm running windows 7. I was having some issues with my Internet and though maybe disabling and enabling it again would help. I presumed that once i clicked the button that said [Disable] it would change to a button that said enable, but no such luck. Ive tried my HP advisor dock and it says its disabled but cant be enabled from there. Can't seem to find the button, maybe its a complete n00b mistake and i'm missing something really obvious but for my money Microsoft need to make this a bit easier to correct.
any help/advice on the topic would be helpful, cheers.

Try running the Internet Connections Troubleshoooter here:
Start->Control Panel->Troubleshooting->Network and Internet->Internet Connections .
on the bottom right of my screen i clicked the internet signal bar thing, the one that looks like half a pyramid, i then right clicked on my current network/internet connection and clicked on status, then clicked disable on the window that came up.
What exactly did you "disable"? Where was the button/setting?
Please try to be as precise as possible.
doesn't find anything. asks me to look online, but with no Internet that could be rather problematic...
