Acer Aspire 7741Z laptop.

Some of my keyboard keys have more than one letter/signs.

Some of those are in BLUE colour.

Example.....

number 2 key has a quotation sign ( " ) in blue

question mark key has an accented E in blue

How to activate them ?

I don't have an user manual to explain that part.

    CTRL+Fn+Right Shift

Type some of those keys in Microsoft Word... Work?

CTRL+Fn+Right Shift twice(...meaning CTRL+Fn+Right Shift then let go of Shift while still holding CTRL and Fn, then press Shift again.)

... to turn it off. *

    * The turn off could be done on some systems with just the same keystroke as the turn on - not the repeated.  Some systems the repeated just cycled it back on.  *grin*

    Another option...

Starting in normal mode (haven't changed using the below or above methods - all keys work as default expected.)

Press CTRL+Right ShiftThis activates secondary function keys (all the upper blue symbols.)

Access upper blue symbols by using the regular shift+key you want combo.

    Press CTRL+Right Shift again

This activates tertiary blue symbols (all the lower blue symbols on the keys.)

To access these, use CTRL+ALT+key you want.

    Press CTRL+Right Shift to deactivate.

All gleemed from (read more about it) here:

I cant get them to work either.  My function (blue) keys are permanently on and I cant shut them off, no matter what key combos I use .... VERY Frustrating!!!

I had this problem on my desktop keyboard, and realized my keyboard was set to "English-Canada and CMS - Canadian Multilingual Standard".

In the bottom right hand corner of your screen, just left of where the date and time appears, you should see a display indicating the language setting of your keyboard.  If you left-click on this, a small pop-up window will appear.  I selected "English-Canada, US Keyboard", and my keyboard went back to normal, no longer activating the blue options on certain keys and I regained my sanity!
