Hi,
Try Checking the Play Windows StartUp Sounds - APPLY / OK. Then go back and uncheck
it APPLY/ OK.
These work on XP and should work on Vista and Windows 7 though I have not used them
on either.
You can use Auto Mute to make sure the sound is OFF or Muted when you boot up.
