It stands for Display Power Saving Technology.

    According to Intel:

Intel Display Power Saving Technology – Reduces display backlight power with minimal visual impact to the end user, enabling improved battery life.

When I was in school, it stood for Double Pole Single Throw switch, but when it comes from Intel it means Display Power Saving Technology.  :-)  You ought to try typing these things into Google - it's very handy and works very well.
