I have no sound and my Vista driver didn't work. I tried compatibility mode. No luck. Plz help?

The best you can hope is that Windows Update has a driver which will work. The NC6000 is an old machine for which no drivers were released after XP.
There were two souncards used by HP in the model range, neither of which have any official support from the device manufacturers.
