Internet Explorer 7 does not work on Windows 7. Internet Explorer 8 is pretty much identical to Internet Explorer 7, so you should be able to view whatever site you want to in that version.

If your computer currently has Internet Explorer 9 installed, try uninstalling it:

How do I install or *uninstall Internet Explorer 9*?

Your computer will be automatically restored back to Internet Explorer 8.

If you continue experience any problems viewing websites, try setting your web browser to compatibility mode:

Introducing *Compatibility View* - IEBlog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs

Please note, if you using a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need to use the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer 8 or 9 that is included with the operating system. Adobe Flash Player does not support 64 bit version of Internet Explorer in Windows 7 at this time.

Click Start > All Programs > Click Internet Explorer (the one that is not listed as 64 bit)

Adobe Flash Player is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser

I have Windows 7 64-bit and need to use Internet Explorer 32-bit

MS techs don't sell maintenance programs

    Scammers sell maintenance programs.

OK, so why do you want IE7?

If IE9 is not working for you, set 'compatibility' for all websites, and turn off tracking protection for any website which has a problem thereafter..

Meaning .... if you are now using IE8, uninstall it and the system will revert itself to IE7. No need to install IE7 manually.

Not if the OP is using Windows 7....can't be done. W7 comes with IE8 as you yourself said...:-)

The most current Internet Explorer is IE9.

    IE8 comes pre-installed in Windows 7 computers.

You are asking to go back 2 versions to an old  IE version. Any particular reason why ?

    ..........................................................................................................................................

Editing : Disregard the following. It won't apply to Win 7.

In any case, all you need to do is to uninstalled the current IE version you are using, and the system will AUTOMATICALLY revert itself to the previous IE version.

Meaning .... if you are now using IE8, uninstall it and the system will revert itself to IE7. No need to install IE7 manually.

How to uninstall IE8.....( assuming that is your current IE version )

Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > left column, click View Installed Updates > wait for loading > scroll down to Windows Internet Explorer 8 > right click > click Uninstall.
