    Hi,

    ·        Which operating system is installed on your computer?

    ·        Which program are you referring to?

    ·        How are you trying to install the driver? Through Windows Update or from the manufacturer’s website?

Note: Restart the computer once and check if the prompt stops.

The Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller component supports the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) AC adapter device objects that the operating system uses to manage power resources.

If you uninstall the driver then you may have to face different issue with the computer.

Microsoft ACPI Compliant Controller driver is an inbox driver package comes with the operating system. If the driver is updated somehow and before you wish to uninstall it, let's restart the computer. If it causes any problem which it doesn't, you can still restore the driver to its previous version.
