ADS Instant HDTV PCI has a driver problem. Sound used to Play through the HDTV speakers. Now it doesn't.

I own a Sony VAIO laptop computer that I have previously connected to an HDTV using an HDMI cable with success (sound and video played through the TV).

I'm using Windows Vista home edition.

Some months ago, the sound stopped playing through the TV speakers.    I recently used an automatic fix program from Microsoft and got the following error mesage: "ADS Instant HDTV PCI has a driver problem".  Can you offer a solution?  Thanks.
