How is 'select options as you want to' helpful? Interesting that I can't vote No, it wasnt helpful.  Click start, type Windows Defender in the box for Search Programs and Files. Click on Windows Defender.  When Windows Defender opens, select Options. From the Options menu, select Administrator.  In the box on the right, unclick 'Use this Program'. Save and Exit.

It helps to protect your computer from being contaminated by harmful application. But it can stop other viruses removal programs unless it is deactivated during their scan. You can disable it with easy steps in Windows 7..just go start ->, type 'Defender' in Search box and apply some changes to enable or disable it.
