I believe the Atheros AR5007EG is a 802.11b/g device. That would have a maximum speed of 54Mbit/s.
For 100Mbit/s you need a Wireless N device - 802.11n standard.

I have an Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter in my computer. Since six month we have Broadbank 100Mbit/s in our house. When I call the support (Broadband company support) they ask me to check if my computer can handle that. How do I check that?
