    Hi,

    Do you remember making any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue?

    I would suggest you to change the icon size and check if the issue persists. Follow the steps mentioned below:

    a.       Right click on Desktop, click on view and uncheck Auto arrange.

    b.      After above step. Right click on Desktop, click on view choose on icon size you want and check if the issue persists.

    Do a system restore.

    Pick a date when the icons were the way you want them as your restore point

    Thank you very much for your help.  I don't remember what I did, but I did what you suggested and it worked right away.  That happens sometimes after I've been searching for a while and return to the desktop to find it all changed.  It usually goes back on it's own when I reboot, but it didn't this time.  It's back to normal now, with your help......THANK YOU :-)
