load installer interface .dll error

I am trying to re- install Flexi Sign Pro 8.6v2 on my computer. I originally had an error message: "The procedure entry point CppXcpt Filter could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR71.dll".  This message appeared after I let Windows install automatic updates downloaded, when I rebooted my computer after turning off to install a font. Since the updates I have not been able to access my sign program, it just showed the above error.  I uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall, but as soon as the program starts to load the message "load installer interface .dll error"  appears. Some componants of the program will load but not the main program. The program does require a software USB Key, but the installer does not ask for the required information when installing what it does. Any help would be appreciated, the software vendor has not been able to help, suggesting that the Microsoft updates may be the problem?

    Hi,

**1)**Which updates were installed prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Troubleshoot problems installing and uninstalling programs on Windows-based computers.

    Method 2:

If the issue persists then set your computer in Clean Boot state and then try to install it.

By setting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After clean boot troubleshooting step, follow Step 7 in the provided link to return your computer to Normal startup mode.

Follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a)       Click StartCollapse this imageExpand this i, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.

    b)       On the General tab, click the Normal Startup option, and then click OK.

    c)       When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.

    Hope this information is helpful.
