I need drivers for STAR NX-2420

I NEED DRIVERS FOR STAR NX-2420 DOT MATRIX PRINTER FOR VISTA OR ONE THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH IT.I HAVE BOUGHT A PARALLEL TO USB CABLE AND MY COMPUTER RECOGNIZES THE PRINTER WHEN I HOOK IT UP BUT WILL NOT PRINT.

    Here's how to install drivers for your Star NX-2420 under Windows 7 and possibly Vista too.

    Click on the "Start" globe

    Click on "Devices and Printers"

    Click on "Add a printer", then "Add a local printer"

    Select your printer port, probably LPT 1, then click "Next"

    You won't see Star printers listed yet, so click "Windows Update"

    Go get cup of coffee, it may take a while

    When it's done updating, Star printers will now be in the list, but not the NX-2420

    Select the "Star 24Wire 12inch Printer" and complete the installation wizard.

    When you print a test sheet, you should have success.  Good luck!

    Actually I discovered that the driver for an Epson DFX 5000 seems to work with the NX-2420.
