    Hi,

Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

The jumping of the processes in task manager is not usual.

Method 1: Follow these steps and check if the issue persists.

Step 1: Try to boot into safe mode and check if the issue persists. Refer the following link to boot the computer in safe mode

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the issue does not persists in safe mode then, start the computer in clean boot to check if any third party program is causing the issue. To configure your computer to clean boot refer the following link.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 in the article to boot to normal startup.

Method 2: I would also suggest you to run a full system scan on the computer using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if the computer is infected with virus. You may download and run the Microsoft Safety scanner from the following link.

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Disclaimer: The online scanner will expire after 10 days. Running the Microsoft safety scanner will also run check disk on the computer. Performing this task could cause loss of data on your computer. It is recommended that you back up all the data and files prior to performing this.

You have the Task Manager sorted by CPU use, or some other value which is changing constantly. Click the "name" column to sort by name so they don't jump around.
