sata hard drive installation in dell optiplex 170L

Cant install a new SATA Hard Drive in Dell Optiplex 170L.  Windows XP Pro SP3 cd cant find Hard Drive. Need some help please.

    Hi,          

    This issue is related to the hardware installation, I would suggest that you get in touch with the system manufacturer for further assistance as you would require configuring the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) to install new SATA drive in Windows XP. You would also require a Floppy drive to install the new SATA drive.

    I enabled the SATA port in the BIOS and i got it to work didnt need to use a floppy.
