Check the printer manufacturers support website and look for Windows 7 drivers that you can download and install. Download the drivers for your printer model and the correct bit level for your computer

    • 32 or 64 bit - and then install them.

    Canon Imageclass D660 drivers:

    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/imageclass_series/imageclass_d660?selectedName=DriversAndSoftware

To see if you have Windows 7 32 or 64 bit:

    1. Open System by clicking the Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties.
    2. Under System, you can view the system type, it will say 32 or 64 bit.

Install the drivers before connecting the printer to your computer. After installing connect the printer, if it’s still not recognized:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Install-a-printer

    Try the Printer Troubleshooter

    1. Click the Start button, then click Control Panel
    2. In the search box, type troubleshooter
    3. Then click Troubleshooting
    4. Under Hardware and Sound, click "Use a printer"

The information you provided is good for some printers but not for the Canon Imageclass D660 laser printer/copier.  Canon admits to not having a driver and likely hoping we will buy a newer multi machine.  How do you contact Windows to get them to add the printer to the list they have for Canon?  Or are they like the rest of the large corporations... we are not able to contact?  LOL

Cannon doesn't have a  driver... yet and there is no means to contact them by email in Canada. The D660 is a great printer copier.  My Win 8 recognizes as another device but won't place in the printers so I can use it.  Sad, what MS does in upgrades to Windows and can't carry over products and software that older window products did.

canon doesnt offer a driver for this printer, so it would be great if someone could offer a place to find one
