When you lock it - Yes, it will still download any files currently being downloaded.
If it goes into hibernate/sleep - No, downloads will not continue while in hibernate/sleep.

i have windows 7 home premium on my laptop..i have several file sharing programs like utorrent and shareza..my question is when i put my computer in lock..or when i lock my laptop..does it still download?...also when i put my laptop to sleep will the download still continue...also what about regular downloads do they still continue when i put my pc to sleep or in lock..
