Windows 7 "LIVE" Desktop wallpaper, gadgets and Screensavers...

Ok, if a Cell Phone can have "LIVE" Wallpaper (snow flakes floating around, fire burning in a Fireplace and so on) why can't Windows 7? Why must my background be a picture only? Maybe I am a dork and just have not found the option to make my Desktop run a LIVE background?

Gadgets, when I select gadgets I only find one page, I know there are more out there but can't seem to find a huge selection from Microsofts website (Download gadgets etc...)

Screensavers, I know there are some out there I can buy etc.. Where on Microsofts website can I find more if I don't want to download from a 3rd party webisite?

    Hi

The Active Desktop that enabled things like animated wallpaper and websites to be displayed on the Desktop was deprecated beginning with Vista, although Vista did have the Dreamscene component for the Ultimate edition. These were removed because of security/performance issues.

The online Gadgets Gallery was recently deprecated for some of the same reasons. When you click the Get more gadgets online link in the Gadgets component, read the statement toward the bottom of that page for more information. Many companies produce their own gadgets, like they do Apps for smartphones.

There are tons of free screensavers online as well as third party products that can reproduce these features.

Most everything in Windows 7 is focused on the themes and the Desktop Slideshow.

Here are some links with more information.

I agree with Trance. I love my live wallpaper on my phone. I'd love to have that on my computer and I'd much rather get it from Microsoft than risk getting a virus from a 3rd party site. It just makes more sence to have the same ability as a small phone to run apps. Thats another one. I'd also like to be able to run certain apps on my home computer instead of only on my phone. Its just more enjoyable to be able to play games on my home computer or when I'm out continue a game with a friend. Just throwing an idea out there, maybe you could make the windows phone a base or just hook it up by usb, and automatically be able to pick up a game or what ever web page you were looking at from the phone. Make it compatable to go back and forth seemlessly with info on your computer. IE; with the address book, calendar, notes, and pictures. Google already does the picture thing with out a USB required. It automatically uploads pictures from your phone to your google+ account and asks if you want to share them or not. That way if something happens to your phone, none of the pictures are lost. If you could do that, AND do the same thing with addresses and phone numbers for people. They already sort of do that as well. No USB plug needed. Just have a data plan and sign up for gmail and have the app installed on your phone. But to be able to do that with games and other things would be awesome.

Trash in trash out. Right now my worst enemy is Explorer Tool bar, Explorer Folder and Explorer 9

I had a great set up.. first came AVG with all the answers. I even bought the pkg.  Then came ad blocker I donated. Then came Google and a new twist called Kadazan..It worked great..but it doesn't work that well on Fox Browser for Yahoo. I still access Google Dictionary and all the other Google tools.

But now when my cursor clicks on  the desktop of my P.C. it buzzes or dings (error). I can't seem to overcome that.

Then, A V G suggested I disable Google Browser and its Homepage. Kadazan..maybe it used to be delta-search and Lord knows what they're full of.

I pushed Kadazan on Facebook I loved it so much..But all software, both domestic and foreign (AVG) couldn't solve the problem with the buzzing or beeping cursor on my Explorer (Bing) Webpage Wallpaper.  Couldn't access my Explorer Browser's window 7 wall paper free to Explorer users.

How nice these software for profit companies. Wish the Government were that way, we'd be able to have free medical and health insurance for free because our companies would see us as an investment instead of a money drain.

But, unfortunately, I'm not the President..The President is the President and he doesn't even have a clue as to why the web sight of his doesn't work. It doesn't work because criminals known to us as black hat hackers are successfully compromising everything good in the U.S. society because they aren't intelligent enough to come up with something better.  I'm talking Russia, Iran, North Korea, China, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.

White Hat Hackers are the salvation of this Internet. Without them it is a space with Satan's devils and none of God's (Yahweh's) Angels.

So wise up..Do we want to let these criminals control cyberspace like they control our society in our cities and towns or are we going to stand up to them and make them regret what they do.

Let;s make black hat skull drudgery a death penalty offense and get rid of these a.h.'s once and for all.
