    THIS WORKED FOR ME

Settings-more-portable hotspot-portable WiFi hotspot settings-menu ( top right of screen)

    Click advanced-

    LAN settings- reset to default

     do not hide SSID

Set WiFi channel to 3 or more

    < back to settings-

    Enter network name

    Change security to WPA (TKIP)

    Enter password

Go to computer open network and sharing center. Choose manage wireless networks on the top left…remove any that are associated with the phone

Return to the Net Work & Sharing center page- choose Set up a new connection

Choose connect to the internet, click next, click wireless

Under the phones network properties, choose security,

Change Security Type to- WPA Personal

    Chang Encryption to- TKIP

Type in your security password – hit OK

    Restart phone and laptop

    Hey Sharma,

This is not to well documented of an issue so bare with us as we try some troubleshooting steps.

First, follow this thread here and give it a try. It should apply well to your issue.

Check your Power Management setting after creating the hot spot, and monitor it.

Check your Event Viewer after this happens and tell us what it says.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Do you get any error message or code?

Method 1: Check the status of the issue in clean boot and check which application is causing the issue:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in Step 7 in the above KB article.

Method 2: Picking up the pieces after a computer crash

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Picking-up-the-pieces-after-a-computer-crash

Method 3: Wired and wireless network connection problems in Windows

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-windows?T1=tab05

Note: Update the wireless adapter driver.

Check in event viewer for any issue related logs:
