Hey eddieb, I have tried several times in the past to do backups, even daily incremental ones and they never worked right. One re-install of XP Pro actually failed for me and I lost all the data due to a full backup malfunction. What is the "right" way of doing these backups right and functional? I have 1.5 TB of free space I can use. TX

I need to reinstall direct x from setup disc that came with computer or from Microsoft directly. I have corrupted dx files and the direct draw part is causing the problem of "stuttering" during screensaver function. I haven't been able to solve this problem.

Windows XP can only officially get / use DirectX 9.

DirectX X is part of Windows, starting at Vista.
