Original Title: how to restore native free cell

I lost native free cell and hearts games. I tried to search for them with no success. I also tried to turn on the games feature and still have not been successful. What can I do to restore these games to my game selection. The other games such as solitaire and spider solitaire are working properly.

Hi,

Have you made any changes to your computer prior to the issue?

Did you try Method 1?

Method 1: Please follow the steps mentioned below:

a) Click on Start, type “Turn Windows feature on or off”

b) Expand games and place a tick mark next to FreeCell and hearts

c) Click Ok

d) Restart the computer.

Method 2:  Run SFC scan. System File Checker (sfc) scan will make Windows replace corrupt or missing system files on your computer.

 Steps to perform sfc scan:

a. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator.

b. Click Continue or supply Administrator credentials if prompted.

c. In the Command Prompt window type the following, and press Enter:

sfc /scannow

I tried method 1 - still no hearts game. Using Method 2, I got to the 'right=click Command Prompt, ' but did not get a choice to 'Run as Administrator'. Just got 'copy paste etc

Thanks, I got the sfc/scannow to run, but:

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

    Still no Hearts on W7.

On CMD command prompt, you can type "runas" then press enter and check the help notes

According to given help guide, you can run scf command with /scannow option as an administrator account
