    Hi ChristianLinde,

    1. What is the model number of the camcorder?
    2. Do you get any error message?
    3. What is the make and model of the camera?

Check if the computer recognizes camcorder & Camera in the device manager.

    Open Device Manager

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-Device-Manager

    Method 1

    Run hardware and devices troubleshooter.

Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter

Method 2If it is USB, then it doesn't need drivers. If it has drivers provided from manufacturer which runs for Windows XP, then try to install the same drivers in compatibility mode.

Make older programs run in this version of Windows
