How do I download driver for Iomega 1 External hard drive?

The following link is for my Iomega 1 external harad drive, which needs both to be recognized by my computer and to have the proper driver installed.  Windows says that Win 7 has all such necessary drivers, but in 32 bit installation (stand alone) after Vista 32 bit, the recognition of the driver was lost.

Here's the link that contains information on that external hard drive:

https://iomega-na-en.custhelp.com/app/warranty_validator/p_icf_6/JUA8080663/p_flow/1

It contains the last and best working backup wherein both Vista and Win 7 were both working fine with system sounds and features intact.

Can anyone suggest an effective and economical (preferably FREE) answer?

Please help, and thank you,

Charles

Since the disk is installed in a USB case, you should not need a disk-specific driver. I can think of a few reasons why it does not work, e.g.

    • The disk is defective.
    • The USB case interface is defective.
    • The laptop's USB port is defective. Did you test all ports?
    • You used a 2-connector USB cable instead of one with 3 connectors.

Did you test the drive on some other machine?
