When signing onto the computer I received a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it saying   "A driver supporting Solution Menu Ex is not installed."

How do I install it and where do I find it?  I am not hooked up to a printer.

    Hi,

    • For how long have you had the issue?
    • Did you make any changes to your computer after which the issue started?

Follow these steps and check if the issue persists.

    Step 1:

Remove the external devices connected to your computer except keyboard and mouse and check if the issue persists.

    Step 2:

Start your computer in safe mode and check if you get the error message.

My computer will not operate the Canon Scanner and shows "You do not have Driver supporting Solution Menu EX" when the computer is turned on.   How can I install this item?

This seems to be a not uncommon problem with Canon scanners.  First make certain that the USB cable is firmly connected, especially at the scanner end.

If that doesn't help, you can either completely uninstall the scanner and all related software and then reinstall using the latest software from Canon --> http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_lide210#DriversAndSoftware

Or ask Canon support --> http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_lide210#ServiceAndSupport

You will have to tell Canon support what model scanner you have and what version of Windows you have.

So, you've quoted a 2-year-old question and supplied no further information.  Did you at least follow the advice given?

What version of Windows, including service pack do you have?

What happened to your system just before the error started appearing?

Do you now have or have you ever had a printer connected to this computer?  Please give full make and model information and whether or not the device is still connected.

Do you now have or have you ever had any Canon device connected to this computer?  Please give full model name and whether or not the device is still connected.
