Windows XP is Missing PCI Device in device manager under system devices

In my device manager under system devices I have a PCI Device listed that is unable to install a driver. I’ve tried everything to resolve this issue and do not want to reload the machine

    We would like to get more information from you, to help troubleshoot your issue. Please answer the following questions as best you can

    1.       What are the troubleshooting steps have you tried to resolve the issue?

    2.       Do you receive any error message while installing PCI device?

    3.       Which PCI device are you referring to?

    4.       Did you make any changes to the computer before the issue occurred?

    its normal now when install new windows xp, this problem happen. why you asking so many question, do you never facing this problem? this problem appear when you open device manager. its show question mark under pci device. of course he dont now whats pci device he refering. because this happen when he install new windows xp.
