Hi,
If it worked with the old motherboard, I would call Seiko tech support at 1-800-757-1011 and give them the model information of the new motherboard - there may be a known issue.

running win 7 ultimate 32 bit
when connecting smart label printer 240 to computer (after installing printer software) the printer shows up as a unspecified device.
I unstall it with device manger in the other section, reboot the computer and connect the printer, receive message = driver install failed
uninstall printer, reboot still the same results
I have tried to install printer using add printer, message says windoes has found driver but encountered a problem installin the driver.
i have removed the software, clean the registery of Seiko and smart label printer items
removed all slp files from the hard drive
the odd thing the printer will print but does not show up as a printer
is win 7 not iDing the printer
it worked before installing new motherboard a Gigabite with intel H61 chip set and pentimum G620

Hi
You should maybe try install new printer, and choose "have disk" option, and point towards downloaded driver location.
