    Sattsumakid,

if you haven't done so yet, do a Bing search on Download Windows DVD Maker for Windows 7.

There are several links to chose the download from.

    hope this helps,

Well this is a little dated, but . . . I have Windows 7 64-bit.  I didn't experience corruption but DVD Maker would not find file formats valid or if it did there would be a synchronization issue preventing burn.  Found your input and since I tried everything else this seemed reasonable.  There were corrupt files that were repaired but it didn't fix the problem.  When I did the disable/enable and restart the computer, DVD Maker disappeared.  It is no longer in the Programs file or anywhere on the computer.  It is listed as 'turned on' in the Media Features.  The program didn't work anyway, so it's not like I lost much, but I sure would like to know where it went.  Not Recycle Bin.  Any ideas??  It appears Microsoft is not offering DVD Maker any more and Windows Media Center/Windows Explorer are there idea of a good time.  I really liked the menu you could insert in the front of the movies you make.  I've tried others but they are kind of cheesy.  Any ideas on my missing program?

    Nope!

    Still says corrupt!!!!!

Seems like Microsoft would make a stand-alone download for 32bit and 64bit

seeing they already make sure you are running a genuine copy.

    Thanks!!!!

Have done everything instructed to do, Did the repair and all except reinstall.

The only message is " Corrupt"

I have to much on my system as far as software goes and then having to

reinstall all that plus the updates for 7 and office 2010 is just to much to do.

I thought maybe I could find a stand alone download from Microsoft to fix the issue,

but have not been able to find one. My copy of Windows 7 Professional 32bit is brand new,

it was purchased through office depot not from any flea market or someplace like that.

I have not added any software that would interfere with it. The installation disk isn't scratched or anything.

    Thanks'

    Thomas

    Hi,

    1.      What is the exactly issue are you referring with windows DVD maker?

    2.      Have you made any changes to your computer?

    3.      Did you receive any error message?

Step 1: Run System File Checker (SFC) scan to fix any corrupt system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below:

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

     If the issue persists,

Step 2: Disable and Re-enable Windows DVD Maker. To do this, follow the steps below:

     1)   Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Programs and Features.

    2)   Click Turn Windows Features on or off.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3)   Expand media feature

    4)   Clear Windows DVD Makerfrom the checkbox and click ok

    5)   Follow the same steps as above, this time place a check mark against Windows DVD Maker check box

    6)   Click Ok and then restart the computer

Now, try to open windows DVD Maker and check to see if the issue is resolved
