I have an Acer Scanprisa 640U scanner that worked under Windows xp using Mirascan 4.03. I now want to use the scanner under Windows 7, 64-bits, but although the program installed it gives me each time "Scanner is not found"

You need the specific win7 drivers from that scanner maker, if they produce such for Win7 or Vista 64bit

I have the same problem. I've installed the trial version of VueScan and it scan perfectly. Device manager is showing the scanner as it is (Acer/Benq 3300/4300). But when i tried using MIraScan 4.03 it could not locate the scanner therefore I had to abort. How do rectify the problem?

    I runnig Win 7 Ultimate 64

    Regards

Thanks for your answer. I will check with  Benq, which seems to have adopted this product, to see if they have produced a 64-bit Win 7 driver. I found a driver for using this scanner with the 32-bit version of Win 7.
