Difference between CD-R and CD+R

Hey guys, I have been searching for a while but can't find anything on CD+R. Microsoft lists it as a format in the third "To" on this vista page. Maybe someone here can tell me what CD+R is. I contacted Microsoft and they said it isn't a typo.

There is no "CD+R" format, but there is a "CD Plus" (or multi session) format.

You will notice that the Windows 7 version of the page you linked to does not mention CD+R at all:

Both pages have another minor mistake - they list the capacity of CD-RW disks as 650MB, but almost all CD-RW disks are 700MB.
