Hi,
I have a program at work that always gives me trouble. When using the program I receive an error "Jetcam Expert for Windows has stopped working" or "Error Access Violation at ADDRESS tried to read from ADDRESS. etc etc. it then closes. Windows and other programs are unaffected.
I have formatted my computer four times, new video card, I removed my RAID configuration and run from a single SSD, i've tried repair installs, check disk, memtest etc. Nothing I do seems to make a difference and other than this the computer is working perfectly. The program itself runs fine on our windows XP 32 bit machines, never had a crash. I have no idea about reading memory dumps so I need some help interpreting the results:
I appreciate anyone looking at this.
Cheers.
RL

Hi David,
Thanks for the reply.
The computer is connected to a network.
Jetcam is not listed on the Windows 7 compatibility site, however I have tried running it in compatibility mode and I get the same results.
We have a support contract with Jetcam, but they have been unable to help. From their point of view the issue is with my computer, not with the software. We purchased this PC in April 2011, and I had no problems at all until December 2011, since then it has been a nightmare. I need someone to analyse the dump files to sort this thing out but I cannot find anyone to do it. Is this the sort of thing I can send to Microsoft Support? Even if I need to pay for the support I'm willing to give it a go.
Cheers,
RL
Hi,
Is the computer connected to a domain or a network?
Check if the program is compatible with Windows 7. You can verify the compatibility of most of the hardware and software with Windows 7 on the following website.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
If the program is not compatible with Windows 7 then, try to install the program in Windows Windows XP compatibility mode and check if you’re able to run the program.
Refer the following link to install the program in compatibility mode.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows
Since the problem is persisting through reinstalls, the problem is likely with the program itself. I would suggest you to contact Jetcam support regarding the issue.
