Hi,

1.       Which version of Windows is installed on the computer?

2.       Is the issue specific to this particular website?

3.       Are you aware of any changes made to the computer, prior to the issue?

Method 1:

Boot your computer in safe mode with networking and check for the issue.

Start your computer in safe mode

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

**Note:**While at the advanced boot options, select Safe mode with networking.

Method 2:

a.       Click on Start, click All programs, click Accessories, right click on command prompt and select Run as administrator.

b.      Type in the following commands, one at a time and hit enter.

NETSH WINSOCK RESET

NETSH INT IP RESET

IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

c.       Exit the command prompt and check for the issue.

Method 3:

Update the network adapter and check for the issue.

Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

I need help, I am getting the error message "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." but only with Facebook. I cannot open it up in Firefox or Internet Explorer. I can open up other webpages without a problem. I have checked my firewall, spyware blaster, and malware. I do not have any problems there. I have update my adobe and java. I reset my router. I use Windows 7 Dell computer. The only things I have downloaded is stuff from my college to do assignments. My McAfee does not show any problems (viruses) This is becoming a major pain in my butt and I don't know what else to do. Any suggestion would be great! Thank you in advance!

Thanks Steve, I did think that either the windows firewall or my Avast anti virus system was blocking the download, however I have tried  to download from the website in question with both the Windows and Avast systems turned off. Still unable to download as above it is as if the request is timed out?

I've moved your question to the Windows networking topic area.

The error you are encountering suggests a problem with the web site or something blocking the connection for your downloads such as a firewall setting.
