Then you have to stand up and touch somethin to get picture back on your screen. And have to repeat this operation every 20 minutes!?!?!

    Hi Deyett,

In Windows 7, the Local Group Policy Editor will only be available in the Professional, Ultimate, and Enterpise editions.

If you have any of the above Windows edition, then, you can try opening the Group Policy Editor by following these steps:

    a. Click Start button , type gpedit.msc in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER .

Then, you can follow the remaining steps:

    b.   In the left pane, click on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, and Personalization.

    c.   In the right pane, right click on Enable screen saver and click on Edit.

    d.   To Enable Screen Saver  select either Not Configured or Enabled.

Note: Not Configured is the default setting.

This is now the Local Group Policy Editor looks:

Thanks for answer, but this does not help.

I do know very well screen saver and power saving options. Problem is that screen saver drop-down menu is grayed out and cannot be edited in any way. It is also set to "Blank" option and 20 minutes, which is exactly the time when screen goes black.

So I cannot change screen saver into "None" because this option is grayed out!!!

When clicking on screen saver option system returns message it is something with Group policy or something stupid like that. I'm logged in as administrator.

Anybody, help, this MUST be solved

    Thanks,

    Kreso

    Odd,

The usual way is to right click your desktop and select personalize,

Click on the screen saver link on the bottom right, and adjust the time it takes to activate,

Alternatively you can change your power settings with the link on this page,

Windows 7 hibernation sleep mode is a bit of a disappointment and should be disabled,

Sleep mode also does not recognize open programs like playing videos/ movies as active so the best way to deal with the issue is to disable sleep mode as well unless on battery power.

All of this can be done in power setting, change when to turn off the display listed on the top left of the power settings page, set it on never when plugged in.

Then look into this to manually activate the screen saver when wanted,

I have the exact same issue as KREŠIMIR.  When I hit enter after typing Edit Group Policy into Start search field I get the box pictured below. I have clicked all around this box and cannot locate User ConfigurationAdministrative TemplatesControl Panel, andPersonalization.

What exactly is meant by 'In the left pane, click on to expand...'? And is the box that I should see?
