Hi,
As you have mentioned that the card is bulit in and it works on printer, you may have to contact the Computer manufacturer for further assistance as it might be the slot on the computer which is not working.

When I put a Lexar Platinum II memory card in the slot the computer does not see it, where it formerly did.
The memory card works fine when I stick it in the printer.
I don't know whether it's related or not, but when I look in 'Computer' it shows drives C, D, F, G, H, I, J, K and Z, but not the E drive.
(the dvd is on D).

Hi,

Windows troubleshooter tells me
Hardware changes might not have been detected.
But it doesn't say what they might have been or how I might detect them. This is probably about having changed the printer recently, but the computer's problem with reading this card pre-dates that.
I don't have another computer to test it on. I plugged in this other printer specifically to test the card, which it sees just fine.
The card previously worked in this computer last I tried it, about a year ago.
Device Manager, under Portable Devices, doesn't see the E drive either.
It's not a stand-alone card reader, but built in.
Hi,
Refer the methods mentioned below and check if it helps
Method 1:
Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter
Method 2:
If only one particular memory card is not getting detected, then you may try to insert it in another slot and check.
Check if you can see the memory card in disk management.
To open disk management perform the following steps:
a) Click on Start , click Control Panel
b) Click System and security, then click Administrative tools.
c) Double click Computer Management and then click Disk Management in the left hand column.
d) If you can see the memory card as a drive in disk management, then try to format it from there.
Method 3:
If that doesn’t help, then follow these steps to update the drivers for your card reader:
i) Plug in the card reader. Go to START menu and select “Control Panel”.
ii) Click on “Hardware and Sound”.
iii) Click on “Device Manager” under Devices and printers.
iv) Find and double click the card reader.
v) Go to Driver tab.
vi) Click on “Update Driver”.
Refer this link for help:
Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly:

Method 4:
I would suggest you to check the Lexar Platinum II memory card on other Computer.
As this could be possible due to many things. It's possible that the card itself is damaged or corrupted, so you might want to run it in another machine/drive to see if it works.
You could also run the drive in Windows 7 Compatibility Center to see if there are updated drivers available.

Hope this information helps.
