Small gray box in upper left hand corner.

I open multiple sessions on my PC.  I toggle back and forth between them often.  After a few times of doing this a small gray box appears in the upper left hand corner of my desktop and won't go away until I reboot.  It covers up some of my icons and it's very frustrating to have to reboot multiple times a day to get the icons to not be hidden.

I figured this out, at least in my case - which by your description and screenshot, was identical.  This gray box was related to Dell Backup & Restore Manager (I believe that was its name) - I found it running the notifications area, right clicked on it, and exited it.  If it comes up again, I'll figure out how to disable it.

Anyway, that's what appears to cause this particular thing.

Thank you for your replies. I couldn't find such a program (could be that I have an MSI notebook - GT683 DXR). I tried turning off some of these (except the necessary evils like anti-virus, my Toshiba dynadock, dropbox). No avail.

Any idea what could cause this?

    Thank you all,

This is what I have as  well. It happens when I use Remote desktop, this square are shows up while not alowing me to click on it. You can "show desktop" and get rid of it of course. Next program  you click, it shows up again.

    Any idea?
