Was wondering if there is any way to get an older game (Backyard Baseball) To work on my computer running Windows 7?

Locate the installation file for the game > right click on it and select 'Trobleshoot compatibility' > Follow on screen instructions.

If the above doesn't work, and you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, you could try XP Mode..

but you may consider it to be a little over the top for a 1997 game..

    You could try to run using older version or try to run it using XP Mode, I suggest to have a look at:
