It isn't accessible in the registry. The OE logon UID and PW are the same as for SBC Global. If you need to change OE's, you need to change it at the SBC Global logon site first. So, you didn't forget it. What exactly is happening? Anything here help?

If it's the OE logon password, ask SBC Global. They know it as it's the same one you would use to access their Webmail site.

If it's an OE identity password, see this.

Bye the way my "Windows Firewall Troubleshooter" just stopped. Bold script = "Troubleshooter cannot proceed". Lighter text = " The troubleshooter has experienced an unexpected error and cannot continue". No error numbers appear.

I DO NOT have a problem with SBC GLOBAL I have a password issue with MSIMN.EXE at launch time. I have created an new account in MSIMN.EXE that I can use but my contact list is empty. SInce I cannot access the old account in MSIMN.EXE I cannot copy the contact list.

I find it very frustrating that a hacker can get into my contact list and send bogus email to everyone that I know and yet I cannot do so myself. This is where the problem began and obviously my Norton needs to be updated for a new virus/hacker or what have you. Regardless of this why does the hacker have access to my contact list and password and I don't?

No I have the SBC Global logon information UID / PWRD. I need access to the Microsoft Outlook Express PWRD. I found my name in the registry but not the PWRD.  If it is encrypted and cannot be understood or changed can an entry be set to turn off the password requirement? I am the administrator on this PC so if there is an administrator tool that I can use it would be sufficient. There must be a way to reset the password or turn off the need for one.

Please advise, thank you, James Smith
