To address your concern, I suggest that you check first for updates in your computer. Do this by going to your Control Panel then click Windows Update then choose **Check for updates.**If there is no updates for Windows Live Essentials, proceed to doing a clean removal of Windows Live Essentials. Unlike regular uninstall and re-install, clean removal deletes and all the registry keys associated with Windows Live Mail. You can refer to this solution article for the steps on how to do it:

After doing the clean removal, download and install the latest version of Windows Live Essentials. Please refer to the link below.
