Hi,

1.     Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?

2.     Do you receive any error message along with the error code?

3.     Are you able to start your computer to desktop?

4.     What is the make and model of your computer?

A "Stop: 0x0000007B" error message indicates that Windows 7 cannot access the hard disk that contains the Windows7 startup files. Typically, this Stop error occurs when Windows 7 cannot locate a compatible driver for the disk controller device. For example, this Stop error can occur if Windows 7 cannot locate a compatible driver for a RAID controller.

You may also receive this error message if one or more of the following conditions are true:

 • The hard disk is faulty.

• The hard disk cabling is faulty, or the hard disk cabling is not connected correctly.

 • The computer is infected with a boot sector virus.

• The computer BIOS or the disk controller firmware are incompatible with Windows Vista.

 • Another program is using the master boot record.

You may follow the suggestions and then check.

How is it possible someone thinks this solution may be done on a WIN7 system that will not boot!?!?!  If I could get it to boot I would not be trying to fix the 0000007B BSOD.

The point of the exercise is to get a failing OS to boot ... sure not going to apply this fix until it's running again, then it's not needed anymore.  I have been trying for days to solve this having found similar discussions that provide no solid help.

I have this same issue with Windows 7 Pro w/SP1after restoring an image to a HD array with a new RAID controller. I injected the drivers for the new RAID card when I made the Boot Media disk using Paragon's software and also injected the drivers for the new RAID card using Paragon's Boot Media software later after restoring the image but I still cannot boot into Windows. Because I cannot boot into Windows, a person would think I could boot on a Windows 7 installation disk with SP1 and try to run Repair but I can't. When I do, I get the message saying it cannot continue because there is a difference in versions of Windows! I have called and spoken to Paragon's Support but they haven't helped me resolve this yet.

I have been working on this too long and would appreciate having some assistance. Thanks.
