In My Computer or Windows Explorer (as well as in many other programs)
you can the display sorted in any order you want. Just click on the
column header for the field you want to sort by. Click it a second
time to reverse the sort from ascending to descending, or vice-versa.

Undoubtedly you accidentally clicked on a header other than Name
without realizing it. Just click on Name to get back the order you
    want.

By the way, you don't need to keep it in a single order, and can
change it any time you want to. I sometimes want it sorted by name,
sometimes by date, and sometimes by file type, so I often change it.

In Windows Explorer, you can arrange the sequencing by clicking on the column heading title, e.g. in your case Name. Click it again to get the descending order.

"My documents" is sorted by "documents" - the alphabetical order is reversed

This answer leaves out much and assumes a lot.  Beginning with the 1st sentence

after the information inside the parenthesis it shows

you can ______the display sorted  = the long underline represents the word left out.

next it thing it ass u mes is that everyone knows where this column header is where name is an option.  i've clicked on everything in the panel and not seen the word name.

Now I have to go on a rabbit hunt to define the header and just hope the answer doesn't lead me down another rabbit hole.
