how do I access the "downloads" file on my computer
Keith
Create a system restore point just in case something goes wrong, then open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type regedit, press Enter and in the left pane navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer.
If Download Directory exists in the right pane, this is where the downloaded files are stored. To change it to a different location, double click it and change it accordingly. If it doesn’t exist, right-click in an empty part of the right pane, click New > String Value give it the name Download Directory. Right-click the new value and choose Modify and type the new location, e.g. F:\Game Downloads.
Don’t forget to create a folder for the downloaded files and remember if you’re using an external location, it may not always be the same drive letter, e.g. F:.
