    Hi,

Thank you for updating the case status.

I would recommend you to contact the system manufacture for the latest drive for “Toshiba TransMemory 16GB USB Flash Drive”

    Hi,

    1. Is your other USB devices works well?
    2. Are you facing the issue only when you connect the 16GB USB Flash Drive?
    3. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

Try the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Perform windows hardware troubleshooter which will helps us to check if the system is not recognizing any external device.

Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Hardware-and-Devices-troubleshooter

**Method 2:**Try connecting to a different USB port and check if the 16GB USB Flash Drive gets detected or try connecting the 16GB USB Flash Drive on a different computer.

**Method 3:**Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

    a) Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

    b) Click the Hardware tab.

    c) Click the Device Manager button.

    d) Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

    e) Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    f) Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.

    g) Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.

    Method 4:

Update chipset drivers and check if it helps.

    1. Is your other USB devices works well? Yes old usb devices do but it seems any that I have tried to add in the last 3 months will not work.
    2. Are you facing the issue only when you connect the 16GB USB Flash Drive? No
    3. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue? Recently no.

Method 1, no luck, says a problem is preventing trouble shooting from running error  0x80070426

Method 2 works on other computers, tried multiple usb's no luck

Method 3 I am afraid to do this my mouse and keyboard may stop working,

Method 4 Windows is not updating I simply need the MANUAL driver. There is no disc. Your list of drivers says compatible, I need the driver not a check mark. I am very irritated that windows 7 shows the device knows what the driver is needed but does NOT offer a manual download of the driver.

Here it is, just need the driver for windows 7.
