How to turn off all Windows sounds?

I would like to work in a quiet environment.  So I would like to turn off all the Windows sounds without going through every one of them through Control Panel -> Sound and setting each and every one of them to (None).  Neither do I want to rely on turning off the speakers as I might often forget because I do use the speakers every now and then for practical usage.

If you want to completely silence your system you can simply click the volume icon and then select Mute.

If you only want to silence Windows sounds, open the Control Panel (Large or Small icons) and select Sound, now select the Sounds tab. Under Sound Scheme change it to No Sounds, at the bottom click Apply then OK.

    Regards,

Evidently we cannot turn off SOUNDS.   I hate these little unexpected beeps and bops that intrude into my concentration.  I've gotten most of them, but suddenly TOOT LE TOOTLE, here blasts another stupid noise.

I've just noticed that the Windows still plays some sound when the Reminders Window of the Microsoft Outlook comes up.

How can I prevent every sound from playing in one go?  I have supposed the Sound Scheme of No Sounds I have selected should stop everything.

It looks like I need to deal with each and every program separately.  I've just gone through every possible item under Outlook Options to turn every sound off.  What a tedious task!

Sometimes I work in the night while everybody else is sleeping.  I do not want the sound to wake them up and let them know I have the computer turned on.

As I said I could forget to turn off the speakers, I meant setting them to mute because I use a laptop so the speakers are built-in.

I like the "No Sounds" selection.  Thank you!
