I am on  a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows XP. Whenever I start up windows, after about 30 seconds to 10 minutes my mouse cursor turns into a half inch white box with black pixels, disappears and then the computer becomes unresponsive. I have performed a system restore, reformatted and reloaded windows and this still occurs. It does not happen when it is in safe mode though. Also, all drivers are up to date. Please help!

also here are the errors from my Event Viewer;

    Hi blakemc82,

    I would suggest you to enable the startup items one at time and check which is causing the problem. Once you find the corrupt item, suggest you to remove it. Follow the steps from the article to remove the program.

    Thank you for your prompt reply. I am currently in clean boot mode with no problems but what do I do from here? I am not exactly sure what i should be looking for to make it work in normal mode.

    Hi blakemc82,

    Perform a Clean Boot to see if there is any software conflict as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

    Note: After performing the troubleshooting steps in clean boot, follow Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state section from the link to return the computer to Normal startup mode.

    After you used the clean boot to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    a)    Click Start, run.

    b)    Type msconfig, and then click OK.

    c)    The System Configuration Utility dialog box is displayed.

    d)    Click the General tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services, and then click OK.

    e)    When you are prompted, click Restart to restart the computer.
