I finally figured out how to pair mine on windows 7 64bit. I had to open up setpoint, click on tools, click on the unifying receiver symbol, click on open unifying software, click on advanced, click on pair a new device, turn my mouse off the on again, and voilà it was paired. Don't if this help anybody, but it worked for me, no more paperweight.
Unable to use Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse - Unifying USB device drivers not found
Hi,
I bought a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse but I am unable to get it installed and working on my Windows 7 Professional x64 computer.
When I plug in the Unifying USB dongle, the "Installing Device Drivers" dialogue appears, and searches for a driver, then fails stating that the driver failed to install.
According to this page, the device is compatible with Windows 7 x64:
When reporting the issue to Logitech support, they claim that this is a Windows problem and that I should contact Windows support.
I have tried this device on 2 Windows 7 x64 computers, one Professional and one Ultimate. On the Ultimate PC it actually installed the first time and worked. Then I shut down the PC and unplugged the Unifying USB dongle to use at another PC. When I restarted this PC and plugged in the dongle again the device driver installation dialogue appeared again, and this time it failed. I now cannot get this mouse to work on either PC. Both have all updates applied and are at SP1.
This mouse works fine on a number of Windows XP computers.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Regards,
Patric

2017-04-08T12:19:55+00:00 Here's what solved it for me under Windows 10.
I knew it would be something like this, because the mouse worked fine until I tried to pair it, and then it just stopped working entirely. The annoying thing was that it would fail every single time I tried to install the software, the moment I'd turn on the mouse.
So I used another wired mouse to finish the setup, then went back into the app, went to advanced, and tried to attach just the mouse. That is, I did not go through the normal install procedure, I went into the app after it tried to install it, and *only* configured the mouse.
It worked instantly. Why it didn't work from the installation guide, I have no idea.

2012-07-27T13:14:18+00:00 I know that the Unifying Receiver "should" work as all my devices are found on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. You might have a 'dud' kit.
BTW: Do you get the Logitech mouse listed in Human Input Devices section??
