In Spider Solitaire, the ctrl z does not work anymore, I have to go to the game tab and then select undo to make it undo a move, please help, running Vista

Does crtl-z work in other programs, such as a text/word processor - Wordpad, Word etc.? Do some typing and see if ctrl-z performs an 'Undo'.
If other programs are similarly affected it may be a hardware problem, can you cross test with an alternate keyboard?

Sign out of skype for the ctrl z key to work as "undo move" in spider solitaire.

In my case, it's happening in regular Solitaire. ctrl z and all of the F keys are inoperable. All of these work properly in other programs. Win 7. I also have to use the game menu to choose Undo or New Game from up there. Pain in the butt, really. It just started a few days ago.
