Original Title: Can't install driver for motorola v3i

I can't transfer pictures from my Motorola RAZR V3i as my Laptop will not download a driver. (Bluetooth) Have tried via USB but it won't work either.

I'm unable to download photos myself and cannot find driver for Windows 7.  I used the FIX IT from Microsoft and did not work, and it found no problems.

I checked the Motorola site stated at the end of the thread and I did not find a driver menu.

With Wifi, I'm unable to find my network.

Please advise with new info other than what has already been noted in the thread,

Sorry did not fully answer your question. Am trying to download from the website.

With the cable it says all the right things but when it comes to the end it just says unable to connect.

It just says unable to download drivers but does not give a reason. The laptop is only 2 weeks old.

Sorry to have bothered people but the fix is far above my level of expertise and I will try to find another way. A friend told me I have to buy phone tools from motorola, whatever they are.

    Thanks for responding.

    Hi,

    1.       What happens when you try to download the drivers?

    2.       Are you downloading the drivers from a CD or from the Motorola Website?

    3.     What happens when you try to****transfer pictures from the phone to Computer using USB cable?

If it is from a CD try downloading and installing the drivers from the Motorola Website and see if that helps.

Method 1:**** Run the fix-it from the following article:

Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled:

**Method 2:**If phone and laptop can be on the same wi-fi network, try using the installed "phone portal" app.

The Phone portal app is already installed by Motorola/Sprint.

    Steps:

    a. Connect your photon to the home wifi network from settings, wireless and network, wifi

    b. Go to "All apps" on your photon.

    c. Find and start the "Phone Portal" app (red "m" icon)

    d. On the "Moto Phone Portal" screen click on "Connect with Wi-fi" ---> skip

    e. If you are connected correctly to your home wifi, it will give you a url like: http://192.xxx.xx.xxx:8080. Type this url into internet explorer from your pc/laptop (which is connected to the home network).

    f. Select your language and click next (if you do not get anything.. try restarting your router, computer and phone and repeat the steps again)

    g. On this screen click on "file manager", select the available user. You should see a web folder popup. Copy the DCIM folder to your computer.
